Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Sensational breakfast — Guests repeatedly describe the breakfast as excellent, with fresh pastries, fruit, cheese, and meats. It's a highlight you'll remember.
  • Quiet yet central location — The hotel sits on a quiet side street in Chamberí, a short walk from metro stations, supermarkets, bars, and restaurants – the best of both worlds.
  • Excellent metro connectivity — A metro station moments away makes airport transfers cheap and easy – guests mention a €2, 40-minute ride to the airport, a real saving on taxis.
  • Courteous, helpful staff — The team is regularly described as courteous, welcoming, and ready to help – with English spoken, too.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Limited on-site parking — The garage can fill up, and on-street parking is restricted to 10 minutes outside the entrance. Guests have been offered a discount at a nearby public car park, but it's not guaranteed.
  • Inconsistent breakfast service — While the food itself is praised, one reviewer found the breakfast room manager rude, and another noted the staff can seem less personal to regulars.
  • No help with luggage — A guest with mobility issues noted that no one offered to help with bags on arrival or departure – a small inconvenience, but worth knowing if you travel heavy.

“A fantastic property in Chamberí, close to many areas, metro stations, supermarkets and good bars. Breakfast was sensational and fresh. The location is fabulous and the staff courteous and welcoming, clearly caring about customer service. It's on a quiet side street.”

“I loved the central position near the metro – the airport is just €2 and 40 minutes away. The taxi savings paid for an evening meal.”

“The location, cleanliness and quiet neighbourhood, right by the subway and bus stops, were perfect for us. They gave us a discount for the public parking since their own garage had no spaces – I was very grateful. The excellent internet, with computers and a printer freely available, was a pleasant surprise. The staff were correct, formal, efficient and distant, as you'd expect at this level. I did miss help with my bags on arrival and departure – with broken ribs, it was hard to manage alone while my husband fetched the car. You can't stop in front of the entrance for more than 10 minutes, so he couldn't assist. I don't often stay in 4-star hotels, so maybe it's normal, but I think it's a detail worth fixing.”
